Wisdom Teeth Removal
Getting wisdom teeth removed without insurance can be very costly; as much as $400 not including sedation or xrays. Read more below to learn how you can save more than 50% on a wisdom tooth extraction procedure.
Do you offer dental insurance for wisdom teeth removal?
Yes. In fact, almost all of our dental plans have wisdom tooth removal included as a standard benefit. With dental insurance you can save more than 50% of what it would cost out of pocket.
How much is a wisdom tooth extraction with insurance?
Plans vary by provider and geographical location, but to get an idea as to the cost for removing wisdom teeth, go to our Get Quote box to the right of this page and enter your age and zip code. You can look up the exact cost by going into the Plan Details section of each plan.
Doesn't medical insurance cover wisdom teeth removal?
Not always. Often medical insurance won't cover the extraction of wisdom teeth unless they are partially or completely impacted (broken through the gums). When this occurs, they may cover it because not treating it can lead to infection, cysts, and bone or nerve damage. If the wisdom teeth are not impacted, it's pretty unlikely health insurance would cover their removal. Always contact your health insurer to see when and if they cover oral surgery.
